The ICAC has heard former Labor minister Eddie Obeid and his family are trying to blame former mining minister Ian Macdonald for corrupt conduct over mining tenders. Mr Obeid and his wife and five sons are giving evidence at an inquiry into allegations they had inside knowledge about mining tenders that stood them to profit $100 million.Mr Obeid's son Moses has admitted he obtained information from Mr Macdonald but said he did not realise at the time that it was confidential. He admitted the information influenced the Obeid family in their purchase of a property in the Bylong Valley.Moses Obeid said Mr Macdonald had given him a list of mining companies including one that went on to secure six licences put to tender by the former NSW Labor government.Thursday, January 31, 2013
